Clare, tell us about your Freedom Project?
My project is my business and the associated lifestyle. I work coaching women in business to help them achieve success in their business- whatever that looks like to them.
Why and when did you start your Freedom Project?
I started my Freedom Project after I was made redundant while on maternity leave. I was helping my husband with his business and thought, “hey I’m really good at this… I wonder if I could do this as a career and be able to live a flexible lifestyle like my husband’s? “ And then I DID IT!!
What does “Freedom” look like to you and how will you know you’ve made it there?
For me there are two levels. I already AM living my dream which is having a flexible work schedule where I can go to doctors appointments with my son, take an afternoon off work if I want, and have cuddles with my hubby any time I want while living a comfortable lifestyle. I work hard, but choose the hours I work and I prioritise time with the family. But the long term ultimate goal is being able to work if and when I want from anywhere in the world!
What excites your most about your Freedom Project?
Being able to spend more time with my husband and my son.
What has been your major hurdle throughout the journey of your Freedom Project? Have you over come it? If so, how?
Overcoming the stress and anxiety of being a business owner through a range of different strategies including exercise and meditation.
What would your advice be to women who have yet to start their Freedom Project?
DO IT!!!! Life is too short. Sure you will make mistakes and learn lessons along the way, but if you risk nothing, you gain nothing!
