Hello Tiergarten

Ahhh alas! It feels like we have been awaiting to arrive here since we left home 46 days ago! Yep, it’s been that long. We have packed away our suitcase and backpack (at least for a little while) and have unpacked our clothes into drawers! It feels great! We have now officially moved into our apartment in Tiergarten and we will be calling it home for the next four months.

Our apartment is a small studio on the first floor of an apartment building situated in the middle of Berlin’s largest park. We are close to shops, a movie theatre, cafes, public transport and some seriously major historic monuments. This apartment is not just our home for the next few months but it is also our office and coworking space. Our dining table is our office by day and most of the evening too.

Cody was most excited when we arrived because we have a pod coffee machine! The coffee machine coffee tastes just as good as the coffee we have been paying for. So it’s a win in the saving money department.

While we plan to spend our time in Berlin for the next few months, we are looking into some short weekends away to various countries too. The trick is deciding where we want to go. Stay tuned!

This is just a short post, a quick update to let you know we’re alive and well. We have been so busy trying to get our online business up and running that I have been neglecting The Freedom Project. Yes, it’s a bit ironic. Plus my iPhone has gone to heaven so I haven’t been taking as many photos.

Anywho, here are a few snaps of our new home.
